According to the organizers, the GREENPACT European ESG Summit is an innovative look at sustainability and a space for discussion. It is also a response to ESG reporting regulations, which from 2025 will gradually cover more companies. ESG will thus become one of the key elements of business.

Konkretne rozwiązania dla zrównoważonego rozwoju

That’s why business representatives, activists, academics, representatives of public administration and international agencies were invited to the big brainstorming session. Because the main topic was the Future – and it is undoubtedly a topic that affects us all.
The event was attended by 1,300 people. And the main conclusion that could be drawn was the confirmation of the thesis that sustainability reporting will be one of the most important factors in the selection of business partners in the near future and will be a necessity that we will all face.

Conclusions?

During the conference we had the opportunity to listen to inspiring lectures, participate in talks, discussions, workshops focused on sustainability in the broadest possible sense.
But also to talk to business people, those involved in the legislative process, representatives of local governments, authorities in their industries on topics related to their own future in the context of sustainable solutions. And it is this aspect of the event that we see as the most important for us.

It is worth mentioning that starting next year, large companies, including listed companies, banks and insurance companies, as well as entities with more than 500 employees, will be required to report ESG (for the 2024 fiscal year).

In turn, starting in 2026, the requirements will be extended to companies with more than 250 employees, and starting in 2027 – also to small and medium-sized listed companies.
